Openmoko Inc releases hardware: phones to run the open source software stack. The first phone was the Neo 1973, which was followed by the still selling Neo FreeRunner. Users may freely choose to run another operating system on their Openmoko smartphone, please see Distributions to learn more.

The current software stack is the Om 2008.8, however newly purchased Neo FreeRunners are still shipped with the older Om 2007.2.
