Where do I sign up for e.g. 3 v2 CAB boards complete with LTC6904 and ADS1115? Do you make the schematic and MSP430F21x2 source code accessible? Why not an ARM-microcontroller instead of MSP430F21x2 - or the Openmoko ARM itself ;-) ? (Please note: curiosity is driving this question) Please do not redirect to the article from this discussion page. --Glenn 13:43, 17 July 2010 (UTC)
I'll add a section "preorders" (or something similar) to the wiki page.
Schematic and layout data will be published shortly.
The second version does not include a microcontroller. FRNBv1 needed one to control some features of the gyroscope chips (power on/off). All this can now be done throuhg the I2C bus.
Why did I choose an MSP instead of an ARM? Well, all ARM based microcontrollers I found were to big (package with to much pins) or consumed to much power. Right now I would use the EFM32 family from EnergyMicro. They contain a powerful ARM Cortex M3 core which consumes less power than the MSP family. --Cmair 14:19, 17 July 2010 (UTC)
