(Mickey) Q: Do we want applications to overlay the statusbar with a progressbar when they are performing a lenghty operation? Do we want them to show that we are performing a lenghty operation at all or should we rather try to handle all this in backgrond?
(Sean) I really like this idea. We should use the status bar to show the loading process of everything from SIM card contacts to HTML page renderings. This is subtle enough that I think it won't be distracting.
