To test Splinter functionality

Test Duration

Test Environment

1. Neo FreeRunner plus April Software Update
2. FIC GTA02 battery
3. SIM card
4. Wireless AP or Linux host
5. Connect Neo FreeRunner to Internet

Test Cases

Test Case #1

• Turn on GPS

SSH to Neo FreeRunner and key in the command

echo 1 > /sys/bus/platform/drivers/neo1973-pm-gps/neo1973-pm-gps.0/pwron

Check GPS status by keying in the command

cat /sys/bus/platform/drivers/neo1973-pm-gps/neo1973-pm-gps.0/pwron
1

Test Case #2

• Turn off GPS

SSH to Neo FreeRunner and key in the command

echo 0 > /sys/bus/platform/drivers/neo1973-pm-gps/neo1973-pm-gps.0/pwron

Check GPS status by keying in the command

cat /sys/bus/platform/drivers/neo1973-pm-gps/neo1973-pm-gps.0/pwron
0

Test Case #3

• Positioning

Bring Neo FreeRunner to open location or where has GPS antenna
Wait for 30 to 90 seconds

You can see twinkling red circle at your position

Test Case #4

• Viewing Online Maps

Connect Neo FreeRunner to Internet
Touch Internet / Diversity Nav. to enter diversity-nav
Drag around and try to zoom in / out

You can see the maps slowly popping up

Test Case #5

• Viewing Offline Maps

Copy the file taipei.eet to Neo FreeRunner /usr/share/diversity-nav/maps/
Touch Internet / Diversity Nav. to enter diversity-nav
Drag around and try to zoom in / out

You can see the maps immediately

Test Case #6

• Add Tags

Touch Internet / Diversity Nav. to enter diversity-nav
Click on NEO icon
Click on Touch Me
Edit title and message for the location
Click on Save

You can see a tag with gray circle under NEO

Test Case #7

• Edit Tags

Touch Internet / Diversity Nav. to enter diversity-nav
Click on LIST and choose the tag to modify
Click on NEO icon and click the name for the location
Click on Edit
Modify title and message for the location
Click on Save

You can see the tag modified

Test Case #8

• Cancel Tag Editing

Touch Internet / Diversity Nav. to enter diversity-nav
Click on LIST and choose the tag to modify
Click on NEO icon and click the name for the location
Click on Edit
Type in something and click on Cancel

The tag is not modified

Test Case #9

• Share Tags

Touch Internet / Diversity Nav. to enter diversity-nav
Click on LIST and choose the tag to share
Click on NEO icon and click the name for the location
Click on Send
After verify title and message and click on Send again
Choose the contact and click on OK

The contact receives a SMS and if the contact is a NEO, you can see the tag

Test Case #10

• Delete Tags

Touch Internet / Diversity Nav. to enter diversity-nav
Click on LIST and choose the tag to modify
Click on NEO icon and click the name for the location
Click on Edit
Click on Delete and Yes

The tag gray circle disappears

Test Case #11

• Refresh Button

Touch Internet / Diversity Nav. to enter diversity-nav
Drag around the maps and click on Refresh

The red circle is brought back to the center of the screen

Test Case #12

• Map Button

Touch Internet / Diversity Nav. to enter diversity-nav
Click on List and click on Map

You are brought back to map view

Test Case #13

• List Button

Touch Internet / Diversity Nav. to enter diversity-nav
Click on Map and click on List

You are brought to list view

Test Case #14

• List View

Touch Internet / Diversity Nav. to enter diversity-nav
Add tags and click on List
Choose on any tag

You can see all tags in the list view and you are brought to the chosen tag
