Phase 1 or Neo 1973 (GTA01Bv04) phones are now sold out at openmoko.com. If you have ordered or already have one, feel free to list yourself as a P1 Owner.

Phase 2: FreeRunner (GTA02) - Mass Market
Put your nick here if you intend to order the mass market Neo FreeRunner or GTA02 phone as it becomes available in October November December or March the next few months. This is not a preorder or order page and thus it's preferred that you put your nick(name) instead of your real name here. This is not an official page, this is just for fun. In short you just state: "I want to inform the world that I intend to get one and what I plan to do with it" ;-)

Organize group sales
Here is a page to organize group sales. A group is about 10 buyers, and the shipping should be a one shot delivery then the group's mentor handle post-distribution to end user. Buying a 10-pack saves money - see the GroupSales page for details. Additionally, each 10-pack will be accompanied by 10 pouches and 10 headsets. For each 10 buyers from the same city, a sale is organized, and then, the group is deleted from the table.

That puppy cost $700.00, and while they did some things so well that there still isn't anything else out there that is as convenient and easy to use, the lack of software and lack of I/O other than serial meant that it never lived up to the hype (much like the iPhone and every other Apple product...). I've ended up using the Visor Deluxe I bought a few years later far more than the Psion. I've been trying for over 10 years to get a truly usable Linux distro on my machine so I could dump Windoze, but until the latest kubuntu couldn't ever quite get there. Now I'm hoping that this new device will replace my cellphone, Visor, mp3 player, GPSr and even my laptop. WiFi is definitely a huge consideration. The only other thing I would like to see in it is an IR port with a high-power emitter so it could be used not only with other irda devices but also replace all my stereo and entertainment center remotes. That would be truly sweet! (I have the OmniRemote module for my Visor, and it absolutely blows away any other "universal" remote out there, including the $1000.00 ones). Maybe I can hack it with a USB IR module... | ||
