I am a programmer working for [http://www.ccp.de/ CCP Systems AG]. I have a B.S. in Applied Mathematics (Computer Science) and a B.S. in Electrical Engineering and Biomedical Engineering, both from [http://www.cmu.edu/ Carnegie-Mellon University] in 1984. I've been living in [http://www.marburg.de/ Marburg], Germany for the past 25+ years. I recently (Feb. 2010) acquired a Neo Freerunner with debug board, and have been occupied with learning the ins and outs and making it more usable. Since my primary working environment is MS Windows, I do most of my OSS work with CygWin. Unfortunately the tools there for embedded are sadly lacking, so I will probably be working on improving that situation. I also note that the GTA02 has one USB port hardwired to bluetooth - a terrible waste. I'm going to try and split that, insert a hub with at least one proper external port (so you can use a keyboard without bending over backwards), perhaps two, and if I can manage it, also hardwire a USB camera to one of the hub ports.

I would be very interested in getting together with anyone in the Marburg/Giessen area to compare notes and work together. To this end, I've started a page for a possible [Openmoko_Local_Groups:_Marburg Local Group Marburg]. I am fluent in German / ich spreche fliessend Deutsch.
