Mickey is an independent IT contractor specialized in embedded linux, distributed systems, application frameworks, and GUI toolkits. Next to a doctoral degree in computer science, he brings in more than 20 years of programming experience, 7 years of those in open source contributing to various mobile and embedded Linux projects. He has been hired by FIC and subsequently Openmoko, Inc. very early in the project and has been consulting and developing since then.
