My best known public works are the *NIX file command and hosting reviews in C, and the O'Reilly Java Cookbook. I've done several shorter O'Reilly books, including the ancient Checking C Programs with Lint and the much newer Checking Java Programs (with Open Source Tools).

I've written a complete PIM and it worked, but it sucked^H^H^H^H^H^H^H it was never quite ready for prime time.
