Dedicated a) to get a full AppKit and Xcode SDK [QuantumSTEP] on the OpenMoko. b) to get new really open smartphone hardware (successor of the GTA02)

Activities with OpenMoko:

  • AJZaurusUSB driver (USB driver for MacOS X)
  • OpenMoko Flasher (for MacOS X)
  • ZMacSync (remote access center)
  • Openmoko Beagle Hybrid

Some more random thoughts:

  • iPhone-SDK is something coming in February 2008
  • GNUstep is more or less Cocoa-compatible
  • mySTEP is a GNUstep variant that runs on the Sharp Zaurus (Linux on ARM procesor + X11 server)
  • OpenMoko also has Linux, X11 and an ARM processor
