On IRC, people have said the 48 kΩ trick mentioned on the page to enable fast charge doesn't actually work on the Neo. I don't want to edit it out since I don't have personal information on the matter; anyone?

Speedevil's article suggested pre-charging for 1 hour. The suggestions in this article (before I imported those from Speedevil) suggested to pre-charge for 2-4 hours. 48 kΩ trick work?
