[edit] Link to the Fast Charger UBOOT entry?

The link given on this page that should tell how to add an fast-charge UBOOT entry goes to the UBOOT-page - which no longer contains the referenced information.

[edit] Time to pre-charge a deep discharged battery?

Speedevil's article suggested pre-charging for 1 hour. The suggestions in this article (before I imported those from Speedevil) suggested to pre-charge for 2-4 hours. Is there a way to choose the most effective time, and if so, is there clearer way to explain this to users? --Dcorking 15:01, 20 August 2007 (CEST)

Basically, 1 hour was an educated guess. At 40mA (measured input power) an hours charge is 40mAh, or 3% charge. This is plenty to boot and run for >5 minutes. This lets you login to u-boot and setup fast-charge, or have time for it to boot and bring up cdc-ether drivers, so that the PC can turn on fast-charge. --Speedevil 22:37, 21 August 2007 (CEST)

[edit] 48 kΩ trick work?

On IRC, people have said the 48 kΩ trick mentioned on the page to enable fast charge doesn't actually work on the Neo. I don't want to edit it out since I don't have personal information on the matter; anyone? --Mjr 21:13, 21 August 2007 (CEST)

Diddn't work when I tried it. Edited out. --Speedevil 22:33, 21 August 2007 (CEST)

Time to pre-charge a deep discharged battery?

Speedevil's article suggested pre-charging for 1 hour. The suggestions in this article (before I imported those from Speedevil) suggested to pre-charge for 2-4 hours. Is there a way to choose the most effective time, and if so, is there clearer way to explain this to users? --Dcorking 15:01, 20 August 2007 (CEST)
