The openmoko wiki page seems (and that’s ok) more a place for discussion and further (inofficial, or risky) hacks related to Debian. I think this is a useful separation. The openmoko wiki page needs to be cleaned up thoroughly, it seem, as it is large, confusing and has some outdated information.

Answer: I confirm, also does not work when using XFCE + Xserver-xglamo and fddev (Debian installed 27.02.2009).

Answer2: On my fresh install it works with the original xserver-xorg-input-tslib and fddev. I just added the line in the xorg.conf. (06.03.2009)

[edit] Blank password issue (removed)

I removed this part. If someone still has this problem with debian please insert it again on Wiki

If entering a blank password does not work at first, try rebooting. If still no success, boot to 2008.08/2007.02, chroot to the micro SD card and set a new password.

[edit] X as normal user (removed)

I think is a good idea to remove this: now /etc/init.d/nodm is used as config file, so it doesn't need more to be diverted.

2. Edit /etc/init.d/nodm and change USER=root to USER=username in it. Then to make sure changes are not lost on upgrade, run

dpkg-divert --add /etc/init.d/nodm

This will make new versions of /etc/init.d/nodm be written to /etc/init.d/nodm.distrib

[edit] Simulating right click with stylus

[edit] With Xglamo driver from xserver-xglamo

It seems this does not work when using LXDE + xserver-xglamo. Could anyone confirm?

Answer: I confirm, also does not work when using XFCE + Xserver-xglamo and fddev (Debian installed 27.02.2009).

Answer2: On my fresh install it works with the original xserver-xorg-input-tslib and fddev. I just added the line in the xorg.conf. (06.03.2009)
