Cenni su Opkg

Opkg è un leggero sistema di gestione dei pacchetti basato su Ipkg.

Il codice sorgente è reperibile a questo deposito subversion: http://svn.openmoko.org/trunk/src/target/opkg/. Il deposito può essere anche visitato online.

Nuove Caratteristiche

Questa è una lista delle caratteristiche che sono state implementate. In gran parte questa non è che una lista di cambiamenti giunti da Ipkg.

  • Uso di libcurl per scaricare i files
  • Spedizione di aggiornamenti del progresso download ai clients libopkg
  • Riorganizzazione e pulizia del codice sorgente all'interno di sottocartelle
  • Verifica della lista dei pacchetti tramite la firma gpg degli stessi
  • Segnalazione dei pacchetti che sono stati installati per soddisfare le dipendenze (installazione automatica)
  • Aggiunta di un opzione alla line di cpmando per rimuovere i pacchetti "auto installanti"
  • Support for faceted classification (similar to debtags). A "Tags" line has been added to the package information and opkg makes this available to clients, but does not process it in anyway. The command line client also does not use this features yet.


Ipkg Patches

The following ipkg patches have been applied:

  • "2-pkg-vec--Optimize-gross-inefficiency.patch" from OpenEmbedded
  • "1-pkg-parse--Optimize-inefficient-parsing.patch" from OpenEmbedded
