Personal tools

Om2009 is the next version of the official Openmoko distribution. It is currently under development and should be released in July 2009 to replace Om2008. It will be based on milestone 5.5 framework.


There are 2 ways to use the distribution. Fullscreen and as part of illume. Detailed instructions for flashing. There are images under testing, unstable and experimental. End users should chose an image from testing.

Updating to the latest uboot or qi is also recommended.


Download and flash the fso-paroli-image from the download locations above. You must also install the matching kernel.

The image will boot fullscreen into paroli and all of the features below will be available

The image will boot into illume. From either vala-terminal or an ssh terminal

 opkg install paroli paroli-autostart paroli-sounds

If you install paroli-theme you paroli will boot fulscreen as above.


Currently Om2009 is starting it's beta phase. Testing builds will be generated into the testing disto.

wifi - works from the command line, kernels bugs still present
led indication for missed calls or sms
