What is the FrogPad?

The FrogPad is a 20-key keyboard with a special layout which enables you to write with only one hand at nearly normal speed. After roughly 20 hours of continuous training, you should be able to write a text without looking at the keypad at an average speed.

How can I use it on my neo?

A manual for using the bluetooth hcid daemon to auto-reconnect your FrogPad with
your Neo will follow.

FrogPad on the GTK or qtopia image

You can use the FrogPad like every normal bluetooth HID keyboard on your device. Follow these steps to connect to it: Manually_using_Bluetooth#Being_able_to_use_HID_devices.

FrogPad with debian on the neo

After following the steps in the link above, you still won't be able to use your FrogPad as keyboard in the xserver. You have to follow these steps to get it working:

The keyboard is wrapped by the evdev driver, so you have to create a new InputDevice entry in the /etc/X11/xorg.conf. Before you can do this, you first need the hardware address of your FrogPad, which you will get by typing:

cat /proc/bus/input/devices

This should give you something like this:

I: Bus=0005 Vendor=11c3 Product=0100 Version=0110
N: Name="FrogPad Bluetooth Keyboard"
P: Phys=*PHYSICAL_ADDRESS*
S: Sysfs=/devices/platform/s3c2410-ohci/usb1/1-1/1-1:1.0/hci0/acl000ADF0023D0/input/input4

H: Handlers=kbd event3 
B: EV=12001b

In this output you will find the physical address of your FrogPad, which you will need for the xorg.conf:

After this, you have to kill your x-server and restart it with

startx -- vt1
